Last month, you'll recall, I detailed several of the versions of the Asrah effect that have been produced which do away with the full stage set-up, critical lighting and offstage assistants. I must point out that Asrah is a remarkably easy illusion to "do", but it is a tough illusion to "stage". In the full stage version I have noticed too many performers who hold the sheet in front of the woman on the table like a drape, waiting for her to make her move. This awkward movement is sometimes amplified by a clumsy move for the wire form.
